The NCBFAA praised reilly for her work there, pointing to record membership numbers and conference growth. “We will be hard-pressed to find a replacement with barbara’s breadth of industry knowledge and association management experience,” said NCBFAA President Geoffrey Powell. Previously the executive vice president of the Florida Customs Brokers & Forwarders Association, reilly joined the NCBFAA in 1998 and oversaw some major changes at the NCBFAA.

At the helm of the NCBFAA, reilly helped forge partnerships with the Commerce Department and started the NCBFAA Educational Institute, the trade group said. “This vocation has been both enjoyable and fulfilling, and I can honestly say that my work for the NCBFAA has been an honor, a privilege and a pleasure, as well as rewarding in terms of ever increasing, significant accomplishments within the association and through collaboration with the various federal regulatory agency partners,” she said.
