Taiwan Steel Nails: Details of AD Duty Order

The Commerce Department issued an antidumping duty order on steel nails from Taiwan (A-583-854) (here). Taiwanese exporter Quick Advance will be exempt from AD duties under this order because it was assigned a zero percent AD rate in the investigation.

With the issuance of this order, AD duties on steel nails from Taiwan become permanent, and can only be ended in certain circumstances, like a sunset review or a changed circumstances review. Commerce will now begin conducting annual administrative reviews, if requested, to determine final assessments of AD duties and make changes to AD duty cash deposit rates.

AD Suspension of Liq Instructions

Suspension of liquidation continues for all entries of subject merchandise from Taiwan entered on or after May 20, the date that the Commerce Department first found dumping in its final determination.

AD Cash Deposit Instructions

An AD cash deposit requirement is also in effect for subject merchandise from Taiwan entered on or after May 20. Commerce will instruct CBP to require, at the same time as importers deposit estimated duties, a cash deposit equal to the AD duty rates listed below:
