CWA supports the proposed acquisition (CD March 17 p2) as part of the deal, in which the union’s current contract will be extended to April 2018, said a Frontier news release (http://bit.ly/1wBDtsL). The company is also committed to employing nearly 3,000 employees in the state, adding 85 new union jobs and giving all union employees 100 shares of Frontier stock upon the closing of the AT&T transition. The agreement is contingent upon the approval of the proposed transaction by the FCC, the state Public Utilities Regulatory Authority and the consummation of the transaction, the release said.
