Ajinomoto North America requested the AD/CVD investigations on the flavor enhancer in September, alleging low-priced and unfair competition in China and Indonesia is rapidly gaining U.S. market share and causing lost revenues and profits (see 13091813). The Commerce Department began its part of the investigations in October (see 13103018), and is currently set to make its preliminary countervailing and antidumping duty determinations in December and March, respectively.
