Ecuador Frozen Shrimp: Commerce Finds Subsidization, CV Rates Take Effect
The Commerce Department issued its final affirmative countervailing duty determination on frozen warmwater shrimp from Ecuador (C-331-803). The agency had found no countervailable subsidization in its preliminary determination. Suspension of liquidation for CV purposes and collection of CV cash deposits/bonds will begin Aug. 19.

CV Suspension of Liquidation and Cash/Bond Requirements
Commerce will instruct CBP to suspend liquidation for CV duty purposes for all entries of subject merchandise from Ecuador that are entered, or withdrawn from warehouse, for consumption on or after Aug. 19. If the International Trade Commission does not find injury to U.S. industry in its final determination, CV cash deposits or bonds will be refunded or canceled.
