- Transfer of entitlement pursuant to the textile and apparel remission orders. The CBSA issued memorandum D8-11-7 which explains the circumstances whereby entitlement to remission of customs duties pursuant to the Textile and Remission Orders may be transferred or subject to a partnering agreement. - Changes to the import requirements for non-restricted firearms. Customs Notice 12-031 was issued to advise changes affecting the importation of non-restricted firearms as a result of Bill C-19 Ending the Long-Run Registry Act which came into force on April 5, 2005. (here)
- Coding of customs accounting documents. The CBSA issued memorandum D17-1-10 which will act as a guide for CBSA personnel, brokers, importers/owners who are involved in preparing and processing various customs coding forms. (here)
- China steel piling pipe. The CBSA said it's initiating investigations into the alleged dumping and subsidizing of certain steel piling pipe originating in or exported from China. (here)
