OFAC Issues Data Delivery Standards
The Treasury Department Office of Foreign Assets Control issued its Data Delivery Standards, describing the technical requirements for the preferred format in which to submit electronic document productions, including self-disclosures, administrative subpoena responses, and other documents or reports. It said producing documents in an electronic format is not required, but it prefers to receive information on digital media instead of hardcopy if the number of pages exceeds 500. The document said OFAC uses Concordance v10.012 and Concordance Image v5.09. General instructions include:

- Provide a cover letter with each package submission which includes the Bates range and a general description of the documents and/or the custodian(s).
- Produce documents in the same form that they were created or maintained.
- Deliver data on CDs, DVDs, or hard drives.
- Label all media submitted with, at least, the case number, submission date, Bates range, and number of CDs, DVDs, or hard drives (if applicable).
- If records are being submitted by multiple custodians, organize all submissions by custodian unless otherwise instructed.
- Provide all submissions free of computer viruses.
- Provide in a separate letter all passwords for documents, files, or compressed archives provided in the submission.
