ITC to Review Final ID in Investigation of Semiconductor Chips
The International Trade Commission decided to review part of an administrative law judge’s March 2012 final initial determination finding no violation of certain claims of patents held by Rambus, Inc. in its investigation of certain semiconductor chips and products containing the same (337-TA-753). The remaining respondents1 are LSI Corporation; STMicroelectronics N.V.; Asustek Computer, Inc.; Asus Computer International, Inc.; Cisco Systems, Inc.; Garmin International Inc.; Hewlett-Packard Company; Hitachi Global Storage Technologies; and Seagate Technology.

1The ITC said this investigation has been terminated against many of the respondents on the basis of Rambus’s previous settlements with Broadcom Corp., Freescale Semiconductor, NVIDIA Corp. This notice also terminates this investigation with respect to Mediatek, Inc., Audio Partnership PLC, and Oppo Digital, Inc., on the basis of settlement agreements reached with Rambus since the administrative law judge’s March 2012 final initial determination.
