Census Issues Broadcast on AES Seminars in MI May 9-10 and CA May 15-16
The Census Bureau issued AES Broadcast #2012033 as a reminder that the Association of Small Business Development Centers (ASBDC) will host an Automated Export System (AES) Compliance Seminar and AESPcLink Workshops in East Lansing, Mich., May 9-10. Also, Census said, The Los Angeles Customs Brokers & Freight Forwarders Association will host an AES Compliance Seminar and AESPcLink Workshops in Newport Beach, California May 15-16.

At the seminars, Census experts will cover the filing requirements of the Foreign Trade Regulations (FTR), how to classify commodities by providing an understanding of the Schedule B classification requirements, and provide a thorough overview of the AES. The second day will offer an AESPcLink Workshop (morning or afternoon session) in which participants can enjoy the benefits of free electronic filing of their export information via the Windows-based desktop PC Component AESPcLink.
