France Uranium: Prelim Results of AD Changed Cir Review

The International Trade Administration has issued the preliminary results of its antidumping duty changed circumstances review of low enriched uranium (LEU) from France (A-427-818). The ITA has preliminarily determined that it is appropriate to amend the scope of the order by extending the deadline for the re-exportation of one entry from Eurodif S.A. and AREVA NP Inc. (collectively AREVA), from 18 months to 36 months.

Should these preliminary results remain unchanged in the final results, the ITA will extend the deadline for re-exportation of this entry to no later than November 1, 2013. AREVA and the end-user will be required to provide new certifications to CBP prior to the original deadline for re-exportation of this entry, i.e., May 1, 2012.

(AREVA had requested the scope modification because it would be unable to meet the scope exclusion's 18 month deadline to re-export the LEU entry at issue because of the earthquake and tsunami that struck Japan in March 2011. See ITT’s Online Archives 12010914 for summary of the ITA’s initiation of this review. See ITA notice for the scope of the order, the ITA’s schedule for its final results, and other details.)
