Opportunity to Request AD/CV Admin Reviews for Shrimp, Mushrooms, Steel Bar, Etc.

The International Trade Administration is announcing the opportunity to request administrative reviews by February 29, 2012 for producers and exporters subject to 23 antidumping orders and five countervailing duty orders with February anniversary dates. Affected products include frozen warmwater shrimp, stainless steel bars, uranium, etc.

(If the review request involves a non-market economy (China or Vietnam) and the parties subject to the review request do not qualify for separate rates, all other exporters of subject merchandise from the NME who do not have a separate rate will be covered by the review as part of the single entity of which the named firms are a part.)

If No Review Request, CBP to Assess AD/CV Duties Equal to Deposit Estimate

If the ITA does not receive, by February 29,2012, a request for an administrative review of entries covered by an AD or CV duty order or suspension agreement listed above for the identified review period, it will instruct U.S. Customs and Border Protection (CBP) to assess AD/CV duties on those entries at a rate equal to the cash deposit of (or bond for) estimated AD/CV duties required on those entries at the time of entry, and to continue to collect the cash deposit previously ordered.

ITA's Clarified Policy on Assessing AD Rates for Certain Resellers/Intermediaries

The ITA further notes that in May 2003 it clarified its practice with respect to the collection of final AD duties on imports of merchandise, (from countries other than NME countries), where intermediate firms are involved.
