Earlier this week, the House took the first steps toward setting up a House-Senate conference to work out a one-year extension, and the Senate reportedly will nominate conferees as part of the agreement with the House. The conference, which includes House Commerce Committee Chairman Fred Upton, R-Mich., and Communications Subcommittee Chairman Greg Walden, R-Ore., is expected to consider including spectrum authorization in the final package (CD Dec 21 p4).
