ITA/ITC to Consider Revoking Carbon Steel Flat Products AD/CV Orders
The International Trade Administration is giving advance notice that it and the International Trade Commission will consider revoking the antidumping duty orders on corrosion-resistant carbon steel flat products from Germany (A-428-815) and Korea (A-580-816) and the countervailing duty order on such product from Korea (C-580-818) in their automatic five year sunset reviews of these orders, which are scheduled to be initiated in January 2012.

Advance notice is given as automatic sunset reviews have short deadlines, with some as short as 10 days after the date of initiation. An order will be revoked unless the ITA finds that revocation would lead to a continuation or recurrence of dumping and the ITC finds that revocation would result in continuation or recurrence of material injury to a U.S. industry. As a result, a negative determination by either the ITA or ITC would result in the revocation of the order.
An official notice of the automatic initiation of these sunset reviews will be published in early January 2012.
