Inkjet Ink Cartridges: ITC Issues General Exclusion Order, 100% Bond

On October 24, 2011, the International Trade Commission issued a general exclusion order in a section 337 patent-based investigation that prohibits the importation of certain inkjet ink cartridges with printheads and components thereof (337-TA-723) that infringe any of the asserted claims of several patents. The bond during the 60-day Presidential review period is set at 100% of the entered value.

The investigation and exclusion order was requested by Hewlett-Packard Company of Palo Alto, California and Hewlett-Packard Development Company, L.P. of Houston, Texas.
