Canadian Government Notices for June 24

- Voluntary recall of Indian candy imports. The Canadian Food Inspection Agency announces that importer Fruiticana Produce Inc. is voluntarily recalling Indican brand Aam Papad Candy, a product of India, because it contains sulphites which are not declared on the label. (here)
- Saskatchewan/ND truck traffic diverted. As a result of overland flooding in parts of Saskatchewan and North Dakota, the Canada Border Services Agency is diverting all commercial truck traffic away from North Portal, SK/Portal, ND. Commercial vehicles should enter Canada at the following ports of entry: Regway, SK/Raymond, ND or Boissevain, MB/Dunseith, ND. CBSA is also advising travelers to verify travel plans prior to departure as highway closures throughout the affected area are impacting access to several ports of entry. (here)
- Quai Richelieu port reopens. CBSA announces that the Quai Richelieu port of entry has reopened and resumed normal hours of operation, which serves as a border crossing for pleasure crafts and is open from the beginning of May to the end of October.
