CBP Updates Its Fact Sheet on ACE Secure Data Portal Reports
U.S. Customs and Border Protection has issued an updated version of its fact sheet on the ACE Secure Data Portal Reports, which provides information on the features and types of ACE reports and benefits users can receive from using them.

Secure Data Portal Provides Info for Users to Identify Compliance Issues, Etc.
ACE allows users to access the reports tool, compile data and perform national trend analysis versus individual transactions-based analysis. CBP's ACE Secure Data Portal provides information with which account holders can identify and evaluate compliance issues and monitor daily operations.
ACE Reports Features Include Access to Company-Specific Compliance Info, Etc.
ACE reports features include the following:
- ACE portal users can access over 100 standard reports on company-specific compliance, transaction and financial data from both ACE and the Automated Commercial System (ACS).
- Users can customize and design reports to fit individual business needs with user-friendly features that facilitate the (i) sorting, adding or removal of data; (ii) creation of custom charts and graphs; and (iii) saving of personalized or uniquely formatted reports as templates so that data can be easily recompiled.
- Users can schedule reports to run automatically, at the date, time and frequency of their choosing.
- Authorized data extracts provide users greater flexibility by allowing them to download large sums of account data and import it into a local reporting system.
Benefits of ACE Reports Include Near Real-Time Access to Data, Etc.
Through ACE, users can improve their compliance with trade laws by running targeted reports to conduct in-house audits, to identify systemic errors and to provide insight into entries under review by CBP. Access to the ACE reports tool allows users to:
- Identify unauthorized filers.
- Proactively monitor trade compliance and identify discrepancies.
- Check the accuracy of periodic monthly statements.
- Review entry summary data.
- Monitor carrier activity by driver, conveyance or equipment.
ACE reports also give users near real-time access to data as CBP updates (i) periodic monthly statement data hourly; (ii) entry and entry summary, truck carrier transaction, and bond data nightly; and (iii) compliance data monthly.
Six Different Types of ACE Reports
The different types of ACE reports include the following:
- Account management reports -- include “quick view” reports as well as aggregate and detailed reports on cargo entry, cargo exam, entry summary, entry summary compliance, account profile, bond, broker permits, employees and declarations.
- Account revenue reports -- include information on periodic monthly statement totals and the duties and fees owed and paid.
- Transaction reports - include data on Border Release Advance Screening and Selectivity, carrier activity and compliance as well as in-bond and transaction details.
- Authorized data extract reports -- compile up to two million lines of cargo entry, entry summary, team review, cargo exam and ACE Anti-Dumping/Countervailing Duty (AD/CVD) entry summaries or account revenue data into a downloadable format which can be saved in an “Excel” or “CSV” format.
- Entry summary reports -- include information on ACE entry summaries (header and detail data), Census warnings and overrides, aged liquidation AD/CVD entry summaries, CBP forms 28, 29, 4647 status and ACE rejects.
- Reference reports -- include the United Nations Location Code report.
