  • CBSA announces EDI deadlines. The Canada Border Services Agency has issued a notice to importers, customs brokers, carriers, and service providers announcing the phased-in time frames to increase the use of Electronic Data Interchange (EDI) for release purposes as CBSA and industry prepare for the implementation of eManifest. Effective September 1, 2011, release requests must be transmitted to the CBSA electronically (EDI) if the total number of invoice lines is 250 or less.   • Additions to Domestic Substances List. The Minister of the Environment has issued Order 2011-87-04-03 Amending the Domestic Substances List, which adds certain substances to the list. (here).
