China Silicon Metal: Final Results of AD Admin Review

The International Trade Administration has issued the final results of its antidumping duty administrative review of silicon metal from China (A-570-806) for the period June 1, 2008 through May 31, 2009.

Final Results of Review

As a result of its review, the ITA determines that the following weighted-average margin percentage exists for the period of review:

Estimated AD Cash Deposit Requirements

The following estimated AD duty cash deposit requirements are effective for all shipments of subject merchandise with a time of entry on or after January 19, 2011:

  1. For Shanghai Jinneng, the cash deposit rate will be the rate as listed above;
  2. For previously investigated or reviewed PRC and non-PRC exporters not listed above that have separate rates, the cash deposit rate will continue to be the exporter-specific rate published for the most recent period;
  3. For all PRC exporters of subject merchandise which have not been found to be entitled to a separate rate, the cash deposit rate will be the PRC-wide rate of 139.49 percent; and
  4. For all non-PRC exporters of subject merchandise which have not received their own rate, the cash deposit rate will be the rate applicable to the PRC exporter that supplied that non-PRC exporter.

Assessment Instructions

The ITA calculated importer (or customer)-specific assessment rates for merchandise subject to this review. The ITA will also instruct U.S Customs and Border Protection to liquidate entries containing subject merchandise exported by the China-wide entity at the China-wide entity rate.

The ITA will issue assessment instructions to CBP within 15 days after January 19, 2011.
