Beginning April 1, Summaries Filed Using Other Versions Will be Rejected

Beginning April 1, 2010, entry summaries filed with a form other than the June 2009 version will be rejected.

2009 Version Not Substantially Different from Prior Version

According to CBP sources, the June 2009 version does not contain any substantial changes compared to the previous version of the form (dated April 2005).

The two differences in the forms are (1) the new version's date at the bottom right hand corner of the form and (2) the addition of the expiration date (March 31, 2012) at the top right hand corner of the form.

CBP sources noted that CBP is especially interested in ensuring that versions of the CBP Form 7501 that are dated earlier than April 2005 are no longer used.

June 2009 Version Posted to CBP's Website

The June 2009 version of the form, referred to as the "authorized form," has been posted to CBP's website and is available at http://forms.cbp.gov/pdf/CBP_Form_7501.pdf.

(CBP previously noted thatalthough the CBP Form 7501 is not required for ACE entry summary transmissions, this form may be used as a cover sheet in lieu of the CBP Document/Payment Transmittal form during the test phase.)
