2. COAC Air Cargo Subcommittee Discusses Internal DHS Review, Matrices
CBP has recently posted the minutes from the January 12, 2010 and January 19, 2010 teleconference meetings of the COAC Air Cargo Subcommittee. At these meetings, Subcommittee members addressed an internal DHS vetting review process that is underway to assess the various credentials issued and databases. According to the minutes, there is a draft report, but it is not public.
The Subcommittee also discussed the creation of separate matrices for air cargo, freight forwarders, the airline industry, etc. (The Committee has been developing a matrix of the various cargo security-related programs that affect trade participants in the air cargo supply chain.)
