CBP Posts Draft ACE ABI CATAIR Documents for Future M1 Release
U.S. Customs and Border Protection has posted multiple draft ACE ABI CATAIR documents to its website for the future release of ACE M1 (e-Manifest: Ocean and Rail).

CBP sources state that while there is no official deployment date for M1, it is expected to be deployed sometime in 2010. M1 has been delayed multiple times due to software defects. The cost overruns and schedule delays associated with the M1 project have further impacted the cost and schedule performance of the overall ACE program.
Chapters
Automated Manifest System Broker Download: applies to Rail AMS and Truck AMS. Differences in the status of elements for both modes will be noted in the description.
Cargo/Manifest Status Query: provides record formats that allow entry processing results, bills of lading and in-bonds to be queried.
In-bond: provides record formats pertaining to in-bond and bill of lading input and output records, in-bond update/transfer of liability input and output records and status notification records. It also provides an independent method to transmit Bio Terrorism/FDA data.

Appendix A - Cross Reference: provides a cross reference of all data elements, record identifiers and chapters.
Appendix S - In-bond Common Errors: the In-bond Error Message Dictionary identifies error messages encountered in transmitting CATAIR records in QP and WP format and explains the reason for the error message.
