Webcast Registration Opens for CBP Trade Symposium

U.S. Customs and Border Protection has announced that registration is now open for live webcast viewing of the 10th annual Trade Symposium, which will be held on December 8 - 10, 2009 in Washington, DC.

The symposium will feature panel discussions involving agency personnel, members of the trade community and other government agencies, on the agency's role in international trade initiatives and programs. Symposium topics Include ACE, 102, trade policy, intellectual property rights, etc.

Those Who Purchase Live Webcast Can View It for 30 Days Via Internet

CBP is offering participation via a live webcast, whereby participants may view and interactively participate in the Trade Symposium online. The cost for the Trade Symposium participation via the live webcasting is $35.00.

As an additional feature, participants who pay to attend the Trade Symposium onsite or purchase the live webcast will also be provided with a complimentary 30-day on-demand access via the Internet free of charge.

All General Sessions and Breakouts to be Available On-Demand for the 30 Days

All general sessions will be shown as part of the live webcast. CBP will select three breakout sessions that will be shown during the live webcast. The general sessions and eight breakout sessions will be available during the 30-day on-demand access.

CBP is also providing a link to test the viewer's computer compatibility prior to the Webcast via the Internet.
