CBP's Revenue Division Will No Longer Fax Copies of Approved Continuous Bond Submissions
U.S. Customs and Border Protection has issued a notice announcing a significant change with regards to the Revenue Division's notification process for approved continuous bond submissions.

Approvals Will Not be Faxed to Filer for Bonds Submitted On/After October 1st
For all continuous bond submissions approved on or after October 1, 2009, the Revenue Division will no longer fax copies of these approved submissions to the bond filer.
Revenue Division Will Continue to Mail Approve Submissions to Surety, Etc.
The Revenue Division will continue to mail copies of approved continuous bond submissions to both the surety and the bond principal(s). In addition, subject to certain limitations, the Revenue Division will provide copies of approved continuous bond submissions to the bond filer at no cost upon request.
CBP adds that the Revenue Division does not require a copy of a bond to be filed in conjunction with a request to terminate and/or replace that continuous bond.
Trade Has Access to Continuous Bond Information via ACE
CBP notes that ACE portal functionality (which is readily available to the general public) affords the trade community immediate access to continuous bond information.
