2. CPSC Draft FR Notice on Hearing for Public Consumer Product Safety Incident Database

The Consumer Product Safety Commission has issued a draft Federal Register notice for the Commissioners to vote on by October 15, 2009 regarding a public hearing on the establishment of a public consumer product safety incident database. 4. OFAC Unblocks Property of Three Colombian Individuals

5. DDTC Posts License Processing Times for September 2009

The Directorate of Defense Trade Controls has updated its table of license processing times to include September 2009, which lists cases received, cases closed, cases open at the end of the month, and average processing time (in calendar days). 8. Canada Invests Further in Inland Port/Trade Area in Manitoba

Canada announced a further $3.5 million in funding to assist with the startup and operation of CentrePort Canada, a 20,000-acre inland port and trade area focused on leveraging Manitoba's role as a hub for international transportation, manufacturing, distribution and warehousing, to create jobs. 9. HHS Requests OMB Approval of Final Rule to Remove CFC Essential Use Designations for Certain Chemicals in Inhalers

Health and Human Services has requested that OMB approve a final rule to remove CFC essential use designations after a specified date for metered-dose inhalers (MDIs) containing flunisolide, triamcinolone, metaproterenol, pirbuterol, albuterol and ipratropium in combination, cromolyn, and nedocromil. 10. EPA Requests OMB Approval for Final Rule on Transboundary Movement of Hazardous Waste

The EPA has asked OMB to approve a final rule to change the existing regulation regarding the transboundary movement of hazardous waste among countries belonging to the Organization for Economic Cooperation and Development (OECD). Proposed regulatory changes under consideration include, but are not limited to, exempting qualifying shipments sent for laboratory analysis from certain paperwork requirements. 11. FAS Reports Acceptance of DEIP Bid for Mozzarella Cheese

The Foreign Agricultural Service reports that the U.S. Department of Agriculture's Commodity Credit Corporation has accepted bids under the Dairy Export Incentive Program from exporters Global Food Connection, Inc. and Hoogwegt U.S., Inc. for mozzarella cheese to Africa and the Middle East.
