2. FY 2010 Mixes and Doughs TRQ Opens October 1st

CBP has issued a memorandum announcing the opening of the TRQ on mixes and doughs as provided for in HTS Chapter 19, Additional U.S. Note 3 for fiscal year 2010. According to CBP, this TRQ opens on October 1, 2009 and the TRQ level for all countries except Mexico is 5,398,000 kg.

CBP's notice lists the related HTS Chapters 19 and 99 tariff numbers. Imports from Canada, Jordan, Singapore, Chile, Australia, Morocco, El Salvador, Honduras, Nicaragua, Guatemala, Bahrain, Dominican Republic, Costa Rica, Peru, and Oman are not subject to additional agricultural safeguard duties under HTS heading 9904, and should be presented as a type 02 entry using the high rate (over-quota) tariff number provided for in HTS Chapter 19 without the HTS Chapter 99 tariff number. Such entries must be reported through the quota module of ACS. 3. FY 2010 Sugar Blends TRQ Opens October 1st

CBP has issued a memorandum announcing the opening of the tariff rate quota on sugar blends as provided for in HTS Chapter 17, Additional U.S. Note 7 for fiscal year 2010. This TRQ opens on October 1, 2009 and the TRQ level is zero. CBP states that such sugar blends must be entered at the over-quota (high) rate using the appropriate over-quota HTS tariff number.

CBP's notice lists the related HTS Chapters 17, 18, 19, 21, and 99 tariff numbers. Imports from Canada, Mexico, Jordan, Singapore, Chile, Australia, Morocco, El Salvador, Honduras, Nicaragua, Guatemala, Bahrain, Dominican Republic, Costa Rica, Peru, and Oman are not subject to additional agricultural safeguard duties under HTS heading 9904, and should be presented as a type 02 entry using the high rate (over-quota) tariff number provided for in HTS Chapters 17, 18, 19, or 21 without the HTS Chapter 99 tariff number. Such entries must be reported through the quota module of ACS. 4. FY 2010 Mixed Condiments & Seasonings TRQ Opens October 1st

CBP has issued a memorandum announcing the opening of the TRQ on mixed condiments and seasonings as provided for in HTS Chapter 21, Additional U.S. Note 4 for FY 2010. This TRQ opens on October 1, 2009 and the TRQ level for all countries except Mexico is 689,000 kg.

CBP's notice lists the related HTS Chapters 21 and 99 tariff numbers. Imports from Canada, Mexico, Jordan, Singapore, Chile, Australia, Morocco, El Salvador, Honduras, Nicaragua, Guatemala, Bahrain, Dominican Republic, Costa Rica, Peru, and Oman are not subject to additional agricultural safeguard duties under HTS heading 9904, and should be presented as a type 02 entry using the high rate (over-quota) tariff number provided for in HTS Chapter 19 without the HTS Chapter 99 tariff number. These entries must also be reported through the quota module of the ACS. 5. Houston ACS Office is Again Operational

CBP has issued a CSMS message stating that communication issues resulting from storm activity in the area have now been resolved and the Houston ACS Office is once again operational. CBP previously reported that the office had no computer access or telephone service due to storm activity. 6. Corrected Location for New York 102 Outreach Event

CBP has issued a CSMS message announcing a corrected location for the September 30, 2009 102 outreach event in New York. This event will be held at the Holiday Inn - JFK in Jamaica, New York not the Hilton Inn as previously stated in CSMS message 09-000300. 7. Updated ABI Software Vendors List
