2. Memo on Certain Fabrics/Articles from Burkina Faso Being Eligible for AGOA Duty-Free Treatment
CBP has issued a memorandum regarding CITA's recent determination that certain textile and apparel goods from Burkina Faso are eligible for duty-free treatment under the "handloomed, handmade, folklore articles, or ethnic printed fabrics" provision of the African Growth and Opportunity Act. 3. Notice on Additional Delay of EC-Beef Hormone Duty Modifications
CBP has issued a notice providing information regarding an additional delay in modifications to the action taken by the U.S. Trade Representative in connection with the World Trade Organization settlement proceedings in the EC-Beef Hormone dispute. 4. Client Rep Fax Machine Back in Service
CBP has issued a CSMS message stating that the Client Rep fax machine used to fax documents and LOI's is back in service. The fax number has not changed and remains (703) 650 - 3538. 5. Weekly TRQ/TPL Commodity Report as of August 17th
CBP has issued its weekly tariff rate quota (TRQ) and tariff preference level (TPL) commodity report as of August 17, 2009. This report includes TRQs on various products such as beef, sugar, dairy products, peanuts, cotton, cocoa products, tobacco, certain BFTA, DR-CAFTA, Israel FTA, JFTA, MFTA, OFTA, SFTA, UAFTA (AFTA) and UCFTA (Chile FTA) non-textile TRQs, etc. Each report also includes the AGOA, ATPDEA, BFTA, DR-CAFTA, CBTPA, Haitian HOPE, MFTA, NAFTA, OFTA, SFTA, and UCFTA TPLs and TRQs for qualifying apparel and/or other textile articles, the TRQs on worsted wool fabrics, etc. (Weekly commodity report, posted 08/17/09, available at http://www.cbp.gov/linkhandler/cgov/trade/trade_programs/textiles_and_quotas/commodity/cr08172009.ctt/cr08172009.pdf)
6. Updated TRQ/TPL "Threshold to Fill" List
CBP has posted an updated version of its TRQ/TPL "threshold to fill" list, a quick reference to monitor TRQs and TPLs that are approaching the restraint limit or have filled the in-quota (low) rate. The list is divided into two sections - those that are at least 85% filled and those that are closed. 7. Updated CF 1400, CF 1401 Posted
CBP has posted an updated version of its CF 1400 (Record of Vessel in Foreign Trade Entrances) - an electronic query report for CF 1400 of the Vessel Management System (VMS), in accordance with 19 CFR 4.95, organized by entrances. CBP has also posted an updated CF 1401 (Record of Vessel in Foreign Trade Clearances) - an electronic query report for CF 1401 of the VMS, in accordance with 19 CFR 4.95, organized by clearances. 8. Updated Public ACS FIRMS Report
CBP has posted an updated version of its Public Automated Commercial System FIRMS (Facilities Information and Resources Management Systems) report that is organized by port code and alphabetically by company name. The antidumping and countervailing messages CBP issues on behalf of the International Trade Administration are now only available on CBP's Web site at http://addcvd.cbp.gov. AD and CV ABI administrative messages are no longer issued.
