According to CBP sources, testing revealed the need for programming changes.

CBP previously announced that ACE would support type 01 and 11 ACE entry summaries filed through RLF by June 29, 2009. CBP states that it will advise the trade of a new deployment date when it has one.

(ACE entry summary filing capabilities were delivered with ESAR A2.2 and were first deployed at the Port of Buffalo. ESAR A2.2 allowed for the filing and processing of formal (type 01) and informal (type 11) entry summaries for those who volunteer to submit such entry summaries in ACE. After these three phases were completed, CBP was scheduled to expand ACE entry summary filing capabilities to additional entry filers. A2.2 also included certain portal account changes for all ACE accounts.)

CBP Still Expected to Allow Additional Filers to Transmit on June 29th

According to CBP sources, additional entry filers are still scheduled to be permitted to transmit ACE entry summaries beginning on June 29, 2009. Those interested should contact their ABI Client Representative.

CBP's three-phase deployment schedule for initial ACE entry summary capabilities that was limited to the 39 volunteers that responded to CBP's original request for comments and indication of interest to participate in the entry summary test was scheduled to be completed on June 18, 2009.
