CBP Posts Draft ACE ABI CATAIR Chapters for Future AD/CVD Processing
U.S. Customs and Border Protection has posted four draft antidumping and countervailing duty ACE ABI CATAIR1 chapters, in advance of the deployment of AD/CVD entry summary type 03 and related processing in ACE.

CBP notes that for existing ACE application identifiers (AE/AX and JC/JD) the record formats in these documents are similar to but incompatible with the currently used records. The trade should not use these record formats (or new application identifier AD/AC) in ACE submissions until informed via a CSMS message. CBP's draft chapters have been posted for informational purposes.
Highlights of the draft chapters are as follows:
AD/CVD Case Information Query - this chapter provides record layouts and processing information for ABI filers to query the ACE AD/CVD Case Management system for detailed information concerning AD/CVD cases.
Background Information for AD/CVD Entry Summary Processing in ACE - this chapter provides brief background information for ABI filers to understand the functionality and planned deployment timeline and the new and revised ACE ABI CATAIR transactions and reference material for ACE ABI filers to submit AD and CV duty entry summaries in ACE.
According to the chapter, the deployment timeline for the AD/CVD ESAR release (A2.3.1a) of ACE entry summary processing is currently scheduled as follows:

| October 2009 | Publish revised trade testing package |
| November 2009 | Deploy entry summary entry type 03 and related AD/CVD functionality in the ACE Certification environment and begin trade testing of entry summary entry type 03 processing |
| January 2010 | Deploy entry summary entry type 03 and related AD/CVD functionality in the ACE Production |
Entry Summary Create/Update* - this chapter provides record formats and processing instructions to submit entry summary and related information to ACE.
Entry Summary Query* - this chapter provides input and output record layouts, data elements, and processing information for ABI filers to query entry summaries in ACE.
*Note that these chapters are revised versions of previously existing ACE ABI CATAIR chapters. The previously existing chapters are still available and should be used for current ACE entry summary processing.
