1. News Release on New ACE Documents
2. Weekly TRQ/TPL Commodity Report as of June 1st
CBP has issued its weekly tariff rate quota (TRQ) and tariff preference level (TPL) commodity report as of June 1, 2009. This report includes TRQs on various products such as beef, sugar, dairy products, peanuts, cotton, cocoa products, tobacco, certain BFTA, DR-CAFTA, Israel FTA, JFTA, MFTA, OFTA, SFTA, UAFTA (AFTA) and UCFTA (Chile FTA) non-textile TRQs, etc. Each report also includes the AGOA, ATPDEA, BFTA, DR-CAFTA, CBTPA, Haitian HOPE, MFTA, NAFTA, OFTA, SFTA, and UCFTA TPLs and TRQs for qualifying apparel and/or other textile articles, the TRQs on worsted wool fabrics, etc. (Weekly commodity report available at http://www.cbp.gov/xp/cgov/trade/trade_programs/textiles_and_quotas/commodity/)
3. Updated TRQ/TPL "Threshold to Fill" List
CBP has posted an updated version of its TRQ/TPL "threshold to fill" list, a quick reference to monitor TRQs and TPLs that are approaching the restraint limit or have filled the in-quota (low) rate. The list is divided into two sections - those that are at least 85% filled and those that are closed. 4. June 4th Opening of 180-Day Special Import Quota for Upland Cotton
CBP has posted a memorandum announcing a special import quota of 13,063,117 kg for upland cotton that is provided for in HTS Chapter 99, Subchapter III, U.S. Note 6 and is entered under HTS 9903.52.52. (CBP notes that this quantity is not subject to the tariff rate quotas in Chapter 52 Additional U.S. Notes 5 through 10.)
The quota period is June 4 - November 30, 2009; to be counted under this quota, the cotton must be imported during this period and purchased not later than September 1, 2009. The opening date was scheduled for June 4, 2009. 5. Homeland Security Official Visits CBP El Paso
U.S. Homeland Security Assistant Secretary for International Affairs and Special Representative for Border Affairs Bersin visited the Bridge of the Americas port of entry in El Paso, Texas. During his visit to the southwest border, Bersin discussed the administration's actions to combat drug-related violence and increase state and local coordination during meetings with Mexican officials and community leaders in El Paso. Assistant Secretary Bersin also observed port inspection efforts and new technologies being used to reduce the flow of drugs, cash, and weapons at the border. 7. Updated CF 1400, CF 1401 Posted
CBP has posted an updated version of its CF 1400 (Record of Vessel in Foreign Trade Entrances) - an electronic query report for CF 1400 of the Vessel Management System (VMS), in accordance with 19 CFR 4.95, organized by entrances. CBP has also posted an updated CF 1401 (Record of Vessel in Foreign Trade Clearances) - an electronic query report for CF1401 of the VMS, in accordance with 19 CFR 4.95, organized by clearances. CBP has posted an updated version of its Public Automated Commercial System FIRMS (Facilities Information and Resources Management Systems) report that is organized by port code and alphabetically by company name. 9. Foreign Currency Exchange Rate Multipliers for Week Ending May 29

10. CBP Messages on AD and CV Duty Actions
The antidumping and countervailing messages CBP issues on behalf of the International Trade Administration are now only available on CBP's Web site at http://addcvd.cbp.gov. AD and CV ABI administrative messages are no longer issued.
