CBP CSMS Messages and Web Postings
CBP has issued a CSMS message stating that it has come to its attention that some surety companies and some customs brokers, acting as agents for sureties, are using CBP 301 (customs bond) forms which include extraneous information such as "Power of Attorney Limited to [dollar amount]." All sureties and brokers are instructed to discontinue, effective immediately, use of any CBP 301 form which has such extraneous information. 1. Brokers, Sureties Instructed to Discontinue Use of CBP 301 Forms with Extraneous Info
2. Updated "ACE on the Road" Event Schedule
CBP has posted an updated version of its "ACE on the Road" event schedule, which includes the following event:
May 12, 2009 - ACE Information Seminar in Chicago, IL. The ACE seminar will take place in the morning; the ACE reports mentoring will take place in the afternoon. A conference flyerwas posted. In addition, CBP issued a CSMS message announcing that there is still space available for the morning seminar but the afternoon mentoring session is full.
Topics for this seminar include the current status of ACE, future releases of ACE, ACE reports (demonstration), etc.

3. Slide Presentation on ESAR A2.2 and WHTI Portal Changes
CBP has posted a slide presentation on the ACE portal changes for ESAR A2.2 and changes that accommodate the Western Hemisphere Travel Initiative. 4. Border Patrol's Weekly Blotter

5. CBP Messages on AD and CV Duty Actions
The antidumping and countervailing messages CBP issues on behalf of the International Trade Administration are now only available on CBP's Web site at http://addcvd.cbp.gov. AD and CV ABI administrative messages are no longer issued.
