Deployment Phases 1 - 3 Now Only for Early Adopters

ACE entry summary filing capabilities were delivered with ESAR A2.2 and were first deployed at the Port of Buffalo. In its notice announcing the deployment schedule, CBP indicated that the first two phases of the three-phase deployment schedule for ESAR A2.2 entry summary capabilities were limited to the 39 volunteers that responded to CBP's original request for comments and indication of interest to participate in the entry summary test. CBP sources state that Phases 1 - 3 are now only for the early adopters (see schedule below).

(ESAR A2.2 allows for the filing and processing of formal (type 01) and informal (type 11) entry summaries for those who volunteered to submit such entry summaries in ACE. It also included certain portal account changes for all ACE accounts.)

Additional Entry Filers Can File Starting June 29th

CBP states that additional entry filers will be permitted to transmit ACE entry summaries beginning on June 29, 2009. Those interested should contact their ABI Client Representative.

CBP notes that in order to participate in ACE entry summary filing, payments must be scheduled for statement on initial transmission of the entry summary and the filer must be using a software package that has been fully Certification tested and approved by the ABI Client Representative.

ACE Expected to Support Entry Summaries Filed Via RLF by June 29th

According to CBP sources, ACE is expected to support type 01 and 11 ACE entry summaries filed through remote location filing (RLF) by June 29, 2009.
