CBP has issued a CSMS message stating that due to unforeseen circumstances the Baltimore Trade Support Field Office, ABI Client Representative Office, will be closed Tuesday April 28, 2009. 1. Baltimore Trade Support Field Office, ABI Client Rep Office Closed
2. Instructions for Using New ESAR A2.2 Declaration Capabilities
CBP has issued a CSMS message containing an attachment providing detailed instructions for the trade community on using the new declaration capabilities that were delivered as part of the ESAR A2.2 deployment on April 12, 2009. The Declarations User Guide includes such topics as granting user access to declarations, creating a declaration record and canceling a declaration record. 3. ABI KI/TI Processing Problems
CBP has issued a CSMS message stating that since April 17, 2009, it has been experiencing intermittent problems with the processing of Importer/Consignee Create/Update transactions (ABI Application ID TI/TR) and Importer/Bond Queries (ABI Application ID KI/KR). CBP is proactively identifying failed transactions and taking steps to update the system as quickly as possible so that the trade is able to transmit entry/entry summary transactions without getting "importer not on file" errors. 4. Updated TRQ/TPL "Threshold to Fill" List
CBP has posted an updated version of its tariff rate quota/tariff preference level "threshold to fill" list, a quick reference to monitor TRQs and TPLs that are approaching the restraint limit or have filled the in-quota (low) rate. The list is divided into two sections - those that are at least 85% filled and those that are closed. 5. Foreign Currency Exchange Rate Multipliers for Week Ending 4/24

7. Summer Hours for Crane Lake, Opening of Ely Seasonal Port
CBP has issued a news release informing the public that the Inspection Station at Crane Lake, Minnesota will revise their hours of operation in accordance with the summer tourist season. 8. CBP Advises of 'Phishing' E-Mails Being Distributed
CBP has issued a news release announcing that it has been notified that malicious e-mails have been circulating which claim to be from CBP and reference a package or other items which have been intercepted by CBP. These e-mails are not authentic and have not been sent from the Department of Homeland Security or any CBP authorized system or individual.
