House Energy and Commerce Committee Announces 4 Days of Hearings on Clean Energy Legislation Discussion Draft
House Energy and Commerce Committee Chairman Waxman (D) and Energy and Environment Subcommittee Chairman Markey (D) have issued a notice announcing that they will be holding four days of hearings on the discussion draft of "The American Clean Energy and Security Act of 2009" (ACES). The hearings will examine the views of the Administration and a broad range of stakeholders on the discussion draft.

The discussion draft, released on March 31, 2009, contains provisions regarding:
- clean fuels, vehicles

- additional greenhouse gas standards
- ensuring U.S. competitiveness
- exporting clean technology
