CBP Announces Availability of Web-based Training for MMM and ESAR A2.2

U.S. Customs and Border Protection has issued a CSMS message announcing that Web-based Training (WBT) for Multi-Modal Manifest and ESAR A2.2 is now available.

WBT Provides Extensive Training on ESAR A2.2

According to CBP, the WBT provides extensive training on ESAR A2.2 (Initial Entry Summary Types), which will be deployed on April 12, 2009.

ESAR A2.2 will allow for the filing and processing of formal (type 01) and informal (type 11) entry summaries for those who volunteered to submit such entry summaries in ACE, initially at the port of Buffalo only. It will also make ACE portal changes to allow those that file their entry summaries in ACE to view and respond to certain forms, allow Census warnings to be electronically overridden, etc. A2.2 will also improve ACE portal navigation for all account holders, provide new and enhanced ACE reports for all ACE account holders, etc.
