ACE Entry Summary Filing and Functionality to Start at Buffalo

ESAR A2.2 will allow for the filing and processing of formal (type 01) and informal (type 11) entry summaries for those who volunteered to submit such entry summaries in ACE. According to CBP officials, the entry summary filing capabilities that will be delivered with A2.2 will first be deployed at the Port of Buffalo and then expanded (approximately two to three weeks later) to the other ports included in the initial stage of A2.2's deployment. The first two stages of the three-stage deployment schedule for ESAR A2.2 are limited to 39 volunteers.

ESAR A2.2 will also deliver the following capabilities, which will only be available for those that file their entry summaries in ACE:

Allow importers to view and respond to CBP Forms 28, 29 and 4647 via the ACE portal

Allow importers to respond to certain post summary requests for documents via the ACE portal

Allow Census warnings to be electronically overridden prior to or after receiving a Census warning message in ABI for ACE entry summaries.

Portal Changes for All ACE Accounts

ESAR A2.2 will provide the following functionality for ACE portal account holders (not just those filing ACE entry summaries):

Allow importers to create and maintain specific declaration records in ACE.

Improve ACE portal navigation.

Provide new and enhanced ACE portal reports.
