This test of entry summary processing will include Automated Broker Interface (ABI) Census Warning Overrides and will accommodate the issuance of certain CBP forms through the ACE Portal. Other new nationwide functionality will enhance Portal Account Management and allow for ACE Secure Data Portal reporting.

(CBP recently announced that it would begin implementing ESAR A2.2 in spring 2009 and stated that entry processing capabilities will be piloted with a limited number of voluntary trade users.)

39 Entry Filers and 17 Software Developers Responded to CBP's Request for Volunteers

CBP states that 39 ABI entry filer (importer and broker) volunteers have responded to CBP's August 2008 notice requesting comments and indication of interest to participate in the ESAR A2.2 entry summary test.

Additionally, 17 software developers contacted their client representative with regard to their interest in ABI certification testing for ACE. All 17 software developers will be contacted by their client representative and will be advised as to the start of certification testing.

CBP Looking for Additional Volunteers

CBP is also inviting any additional interested ABI applicants meeting the eligibility criteria specified in its August 2008 notice to participate in the test1. Interested software developers should contact their client representative with regard to their interest in ABI certification testing for ACE.
