CBP Posts Revised ACE ABI CATAIR Documents, New Appendix & Change Record

Three Revised Documents

CBP has posted revised versions of the following previously issued ACE ABI CATAIR documents:

Table of Contents - provides a complete list and brief description of information available for filing entry summary and related data electronically in ACE via ABI.

Entry Summary Create/Update - provides record formats and processing instructions to submit entry summary and related information to ACE.

Entry Summary Status Notification - an entry summary status notification message will be provided to ACE ABI filers as additional information is required or as entry summary processing conditions warrant.

CBP states that these documents are considered final. However, the documents retain the "draft" designation in the footer until such time that an official Office of Public Affairs publication number has been assigned to the new ACE ABI CATAIR publication. Subsequent revisions to these documents will be controlled through the official CBP document amendment process.

New Appendix on ACE ABI Condition Codes and Narrative Text, 2009 Change Record

CBP has issued a new ACE ABI CATAIR appendix, Appendix G - ACE ABI Condition Codes and Narrative Text - Reference Information. This appendix provides a complete reference list of all ACE ABI condition codes and associated narrative text for ACE release ESAR A2.2 - processing of initial entry summary types in ACE².

CBP has also issued a 2009 version of its Change Record, which summarizes the 2009 changes made to various chapters and other documents contained in the ACE ABI CATAIR.

²CBP previously announced that due to a schedule slip of the M1 (e-Manifest: Ocean and Rail) release, the deployment of ESAR A2.2 was also delayed.
