1. CBP Removes 3 Q&As from its FAQ on Softwood Lumber Act of 2008

The export charge I pay is calculated based on the date of shipment. Should I refer to the charge for the date of shipment when calculating the export charge for the entry summary?

What is the date of shipment?

How does the SLA 2008 address the requirement found in the U.S. Canada Softwood Lumber Agreement (SLA 2006) that the maximum export price per thousand board feet upon which the charge is paid not exceed $500?

(See ITT's Online Archives or 12/17/08 news, 08121725 1, for BP summary of previous FAQ update.) (FAQ, dated 12/23/08, available at http://www.cbp.gov/xp/cgov/trade/trade_programs/cargo_summary/laws/food_energy/softwood/softwood_faq.xml)
