2. 2009 U.S.-Chile FTA Agriculture TRQs Open January 2, 2009

CBP has issued a memorandum on the 2009 TRQs for agricultural products described in HTS Chapter 99, Subchapter XI, U.S. Notes 4 through 17, excluding U.S. Note 12, with respect to the U.S.-Chile Free Trade Agreement (UCFTA, or CFTA).

According to CBP, these TRQs will open on Friday, January 2, 2009 with the following in-quota (duty-free) quantity limits:

*CBP states that the TRQ for artichokes in U.S. Note 13 is expected to oversubscribe at opening. See CBP's notice for additional instructions for entering artichokes, including instructions on entries submitted prior to opening moment.

CBP notes that "CL" should be used as the primary SPI indicator.

3. Weekly TRQ/TPL Commodity Report as of December 8, 2008

CBP has issued its weekly TRQ and TPL commodity report as of December 8, 2008. This report includes TRQs on various products such as beef, sugar, dairy products, peanuts, cotton, cocoa products, tobacco, certain BFTA, DR-CAFTA, Israel FTA, JFTA, MFTA, SFTA, UAFTA (AFTA) and UCFTA (Chile FTA) non-textile TRQs, etc. Each report also includes the AGOA, ATPDEA, BFTA, DR-CAFTA, CBTPA, Haitian HOPE, MFTA, NAFTA, SFTA, and UCFTA TPLs and TRQs for qualifying apparel and/or other textile articles, the TRQs on worsted wool fabrics, etc. (Weekly commodity report available at http://www.cbp.gov/xp/cgov/trade/trade_programs/textiles_and_quotas/commodity/)

4. Updated TRQ/TPL "Threshold to Fill" List

CBP has posted an updated version of its TRQ/TPL "threshold to fill" list, a quick reference to monitor TRQs and TPLs that are approaching the restraint limit or have filled the in-quota (low duty) rate. The list is divided into two sections - quotas that are at least 85% filled and quotas that are closed. 5. Other CBP Postings and Messages

12/5 ACE problem fixed. CBP has issued a CSMS message stating that on December 5, 2008 at 4:44 a.m. EST, ACE processing was restored. At 3:40 a.m. EST on December 5th, CBP issued a CSMS message stating that delays with ACE processing had been reported. (CSMS messages, hyperlinked, 08-000332 and 08-000331)

GOES processing information. CBP has posted a presentation on Global Online Enrollment System (GOES) processing, which is used to complete and submit NEXUS, SENTRI, Global Entry, U.S.-Mexico FAST, and U.S.-Canada FAST applications online as well as to submit fee payment and schedule an Enrollment Center appointment. Border Patrol's Weekly Blotter. CBP has posted the U.S. Border Patrol Weekly Blotter for November 27 - December 3, 2008. The Blotter provides information on Border Patrol activities during the specified week. 6. Miscellaneous CBP Messages on AD and CV Duty Actions

The antidumping and countervailing messages CBP issues on behalf of the International Trade Administration are now only available on CBP's Web site at http://addcvd.cbp.gov. AD and CV ABI administrative messages are no longer issued.
