CBP Posts Revised ACE ABI CATAIR Chapters and Reference Documents
U.S. Customs and Border Protection has posted revised ACE ABI CATAIR1 chapters and reference documents to its Web site.

According to the ACE ABI CATAIR Change Record, which summarizes changes made to the various chapters and other documents contained in the ACE ABI CATAIR, the ACE ABI CATAIR was amended on November 5, 2008 as follows:

Added list of additional Entry Summary Create/Update reference material.
Entry Summary Create/Update Chapter
Revisions to incorporate new reporting requirements based on recent legislation.
Introduce "Electronic Signature".
Entry Summary Create/Update Reference Material
Added ACE entry summary examples for new/revised ACE entry summary reporting requirements.
Revised the ACS to ACE Record Layout Cross Reference.
Revised the ACS to ACE Entry Summary Condition Cross Reference.
Entry Summary Status Notification Chapter
Introduce Disposition Type Code 7 - Document Receipt Acknowledgement.
Revisions to Record E1 explanatory Note 1 for the option to upload scanned documents for Disposition Type Codes 2 and 3.
