1. Updated "ACE on the Road" Event Schedule
November 12, 2008 ACE Information Seminars in Newark, NJ - there were will be a morning and an afternoon seminar. A conference flyerwas also posted. Free. (A CSMS message announcing that CBP scheduled a second ACE seminar for the afternoon was also issued.)
Topics for this seminar include the current status of ACE, future releases of ACE, ACE reports (demonstration), etc.

2. ACE Trade Account Owner October 2008 Update
CBP has issued a CSMS message announcing the issuance of the Automated Commercial Environment Trade Account Owner October 2008 update. 3. Weekly TRQ/TPL Commodity Report as of November 3, 2008
CBP has issued its weekly tariff rate quota and tariff preference level commodity report as of November 3, 2008. This report includes TRQs on various products such as beef, sugar, dairy products, peanuts, cotton, cocoa products, tobacco, certain BFTA, DR-CAFTA, Israel FTA, JFTA, MFTA, SFTA, UAFTA (AFTA) and UCFTA (Chile FTA) non-textile TRQs, etc. Each report also includes the AGOA, ATPDEA, BFTA, DR-CAFTA, CBTPA, Haitian HOPE, MFTA, NAFTA, SFTA, and UCFTA TPLs and TRQs for qualifying apparel and/or other textile articles, the TRQs on worsted wool fabrics, etc. (Weekly commodity report available at http://www.cbp.gov/xp/cgov/trade/trade_programs/textiles_and_quotas/commodity/)
4. Updated TRQ/TPL "Threshold to Fill" List
CBP has posted an updated version of its TRQ/TPL "threshold to fill" list, a quick reference to monitor tariff rate quotas and tariff preference levels that are approaching the restraint limit or have filled the in-quota (low duty) rate. The list is divided into two sections - quotas that are at least 85% filled and quotas that are closed. CBP has posted the remarks of Kunio Mikuriya, World Customs Organization Secretary General elect, given during his keynote address at CBP's 2008 Trade Symposium. Lead contaminated toys seized. CBP reports that officers and Consumer Product Safety Commission investigators seized 499 cartons of lead contaminated toy jewelry arriving from China on Tuesday, October 14, 2008. President expands VWP to seven countries. CBP has issued a notice announcing that the President has announced that seven nations have met the criteria for admission into the Visa Waiver Program and six nations are on track to be admitted. Online method for meeting SENTRI vehicle requirements. CBP has issued a news release announcing that current Secure Electronic Network for Travelers Rapid Inspection members can now register their vehicle's license plate with CBP online. Expanded NEXUS hours for Blue Water Bridge. CBP reports that it is planning to expand the hours of operation for the NEXUS lanes at the Blue Water Bridge for a trial period. The trial period was scheduled to commence on November 1, and run until December 31, 2008. The hours of operation, which now end at 7 p.m., will be extended until 9 p.m. during this period. 6. Miscellaneous CBP Messages on AD and CV Duty Actions
The antidumping and countervailing messages CBP issues on behalf of the International Trade Administration are now only available on CBP's Web site at http://addcvd.cbp.gov. AD and CV ABI administrative messages are no longer issued.
