2. New Regional CPSC Fax Numbers for Fireworks Invoice Review
CBP issued a CSMS message advising the trade of a change in regional fax numbers for the Consumer Product Safety Commission's (CPSC) fireworks invoice review. (Brokers must submit invoice notices to CPSC for review of imported 1.4g UN0336 consumer fireworks devices.)
The following are the new fax numbers:
- Eastern region - (866) 249-2575
- Central region - (866) 249-3688
- Western region - (866) 269-1118

3. Weekly TRQ/TPL Commodity Report as of October 27, 2008
CBP has issued its weekly tariff rate quota and tariff preference level commodity report as of October 27, 2008. This report includes TRQs on various products such as beef, sugar, dairy products, peanuts, cotton, cocoa products, tobacco, certain BFTA, DR-CAFTA, Israel FTA, JFTA, MFTA, SFTA, UAFTA (AFTA) and UCFTA (Chile FTA) non-textile TRQs, etc. Each report also includes the AGOA, ATPDEA, BFTA, DR-CAFTA, CBTPA, Haitian HOPE, MFTA, NAFTA, SFTA, and UCFTA TPLs and TRQs for qualifying apparel and/or other textile articles, the TRQs on worsted wool fabrics, etc. (Weekly commodity report available at http://www.cbp.gov/xp/cgov/trade/trade_programs/textiles_and_quotas/commodity/)
4. Updated TRQ/TPL "Threshold to Fill" List
CBP has posted an updated version of its TRQ/TPL "threshold to fill" list, a quick reference to monitor tariff rate quotas and tariff preference levels that are approaching the restraint limit or have filled the in-quota (low duty) rate. The list is divided into two sections - quotas that are at least 85% filled and quotas that are closed. 5. ACE Update Presentation

6. New Lanes Opened as Part of Ysleta Port of Entry Commercial Cargo Project
CBP reports that officials, local dignitaries, and members of the international trade community recently joined together to formally open the newly renovated Ysleta commercial cargo facility at the Ysleta port of entry. The most visible change at the facility is the construction of eight new primary inspection booths. The booths will replace an original group of six booths. Another part of the project that will streamline the cargo inspection process is the construction of a new exit gate at the southeast corner of the cargo lot. Updated ABI error message dictionary. CBP has posted an updated version of its ABI Error Message Dictionary, a table containing detailed explanations of the error messages that are generated when a filer's transmission is rejected by ABI. Global Entry now available at LAX, Miami, Chicago, Atlanta. CBP has issued a news release announcing that Global Entry enrollment centers are now open at four additional international U.S. airports: Los Angeles International, Atlanta Hartsfield-Jackson International, Chicago O'Hare International and Miami International airports. Extended SENTRI hours for Otay Mesa. CBP reports that it was scheduled to extend by 60 minutes the hours of operation in SENTRI lane at the Otay Mesa border station for a one-week period beginning October 26, 2008 in response to Mexico's change from daylight savings time to standard time ahead of California.
