2. CBP Resolves FDA/CBP Interface Problem
CBP has issued a CSMS message stating that it has resolved the interface problem that occurred between the Food and Drug Administration and CBP on October 11, 2008. Entries are processing and response data is generating via ABI. CBP previously issued a CSMS message announcing the problem. (CSMS messages, dated 10/11/08, hyperlinked, 08-000273 and 08-000272)
3. Updated TRQ/TPL "Threshold to Fill" List
CBP has posted an updated version of its TRQ/TPL "threshold to fill" list, a quick reference to monitor tariff rate quotas and tariff preference levels that are approaching the restraint limit or have filled the in-quota (low duty) rate. The list is divided into two sections - quotas that are at least 85% filled and quotas that are closed. 4. Other CBP Postings and Messages
SENTRI participant arrest for alleged narcotic smuggling. CBP reports that another "trusted traveler" was arrested at the nearby San Ysidro border station after CBP officers discovered over 137 pounds of marijuana hidden in a 2005 Ford Escape that entered the U.S. using a SENTRI lane. CBP extends hours at El Paso SENTRI/trusted traveler program crossing. CBP reports that the Port of El Paso will extend the hours of service at the city's SENTRI Stanton crossing. Beginning the weekend of October 10, 2008, the Stanton Dedicated Commuter Lane will open two hours earlier than normal. The new weekend hours for the downtown DCL will now be from 8 a.m. until midnight. The Stanton DCL was opening at 10 a.m. on weekends. 5. Miscellaneous CBP Messages on AD and CV Duty Actions
The antidumping and countervailing messages U.S. Customs Border and Protection issues on behalf of the International Trade Administration are now only available on CBP's Web site at http://addcvd.cbp.gov. AD and CV ABI administrative messages are no longer issued.
