(Ad hoc reporting capabilities allow ACE Secure Data Portal account holders to generate account revenue and account profile reports that contain only the information needed to fulfill their specific business needs. In addition, it lets ACE account holders customize reports by deleting or adding relevant data fields, limiting the amount of returned data and modifying the report layout.)

CBP deployed Phase 11 of the ad hoc capabilities in June 2008.

Phase 2 Allows Account Holders to Modify Reports, Introduces "Create" Report Functionality, Etc.

According to CBP, Phase 2

  • allows users to further modify standard Account Management and Transaction reports by selecting additional data elements not currently available in the report. Users are no longer able to add "Available Objects" to standard reports, but can use the "Edit Query" capability. (Note that CBP's CSMS message contains an attachment on running a modified report.)
  • gives Trade Account Owners (TAOs) and Proxy TAOs the ability to create a customized report from scratch.
  • gives Java 6 users full edit capabilities.

Telephone Training for Reports Planned for September 17 - October 2

Telephone training on the new edit capabilities for reports will be available to importers, brokers and truck carriers. Truck carrier ad hoc reports training will be conducted in both English and Spanish. Training will include such topics as running a modified report, using query filters, using wildcards, adding a query to a report and creating a customized report.

Training is currently planned for September 17 through October 2, 2008. CBP states that registration information is forthcoming.

1Phase 1 provided edit capabilities to all trade users and included Account Revenue, Account Profile and Broker Permits and Employee reports. The edit capability allows the user to further customize a standard report by selecting additional data elements not previously available, etc.
