CBP deployed Phase 1 of the ad hoc capabilities on June 2, 2008.
(Ad hoc reporting allows ACE (Automated Commercial Environment) portal account holders to generate account revenue and account profile reports that contain only the information needed to fulfill their specific business needs. In addition, it lets ACE portal account holders customize reports by deleting or adding relevant data fields, limiting the amount of returned data and modifying the report layout.)
Phase 2 Introduces "Create" Report Functionality, Etc.
According to CBP, Phase 2 will introduce the "create" report functionality, which gives users the ability to create new reports. (CBP previously stated that only certain selected trade users would have this capability.)
In addition, this phase will allow account holders to modify account management and transaction reports.
(Phase 1 provided edit capabilities to all trade users and included Account Revenue, Account Profile and Broker Permits and Employee reports. The edit capability allows the user to further customize a standard report by selecting additional data elements not previously available, etc.)
