Revised ICP on Table and Kitchen Glassware

U.S. Customs and Border Protection has issued a revised version of its informed compliance publication entitled, What Every Member of the Trade Community Should Know About: Table and Kitchen Glassware.

This publication was prepared by the National Commodity Specialist Division of Regulations and Rulings and provides guidance on the classification of table and kitchen glassware. The ICP was first published in March 2000, was revised in January 2004, reviewed with no changes in May 2005 and April 2006, and was recently revised in May 2008.

ICP Revised to Conform to February 3, 2007 HTS Changes

Based on a comparison of the April 2006 version and the revised March 2008 version of the ICP, this ICP was revised to conform to the World Customs Organization-recommended and other changes that were implemented by the February 3, 2007 edition of the Harmonized Tariff Schedule.

As a result, the HTS numbers throughout the ICP have been updated (revised, added, and/or deleted).

For example, the chart indicating the broad categories of glassware covered by HTS heading 7013 has been revised to read as follows:
