A report on these 24 edits has now been posted to the Automated Commercial Environment Transition Forum Web site.

(In 2007, CBP proposed that 63 current Automated Commercial System (ACS) edits specific to the commercial preparation of the Entry Summary not be carried over into ACE. The TSN reviewed and evaluated CBP's proposal and responded with 24 edits that TSN members believed were critical to keep. CBP's proposal was originally called "Edit Lite," but is now referred to as '"Edit Modification.")

For each of the ACS edits listed above, the report provides an explanation of the validation, the resulting ACS error message, and the trade's evaluation of why the edit is high priority.

A legend explaining the evaluation reason codes for the report has also been posted to the ACE Transition Forum Web site.
