1. CBP Posts Revised Trade VPN Documents

2. CBP Publishes Honduras DR-CAFTA Sugar TRQ Close Date, Updates Workbook

CBP has posted an updated Excel workbook containing historical information and the June 23, 2008 fill date for the tariff rate quota on Honduras DR-CAFTA sugar. 3. Updated TRQ/TPL "Threshold to Fill" List

CBP has posted an updated version of its TRQ/TPL "threshold to fill" list, a quick reference to monitor tariff rate quotas and tariff preference levels that are approaching the restraint limit or have filled the in-quota (low duty) rate. The list is divided into two sections - quotas that are at least 85% filled and quotas that are closed. ACE e-Manifest error messages/solutions log. CBP has posted an updated version of its reference guide to common e-Manifest errors and their solutions found in the ACE Secure Data Portal. The guide also includes helpful ACE Portal hints. CBP welcomes new assistant commissioner for OIT. CBP reports that earlier this month, Charles Armstrong fully transitioned into his role as assistant commissioner and chief information officer for CBP's Office of Information and Technology. CBP implements 45-day policy on loss of ACE portal access. CBP issued a notice stating that effective the week of May 25, 2008, CBP began implementing its new policy to suspend ACE account access for ACE Secure Data Portal accounts that have been inactive for 45 days. Ad hoc training reminder. CBP has issued a CSMS message reminding the trade that the last two training classes on the new edit capabilities for Phase 1 of the ad hoc reporting capabilities enhancement were scheduled for June 25, 2008. U.S., UK border agencies agree to expedite travel. CBP reports that it signed a joint agreement with the government of the United Kingdom to develop a bilateral pilot program to facilitate travel between the two nations. The International Expedited Traveler Initiative will integrate CBP's Global Entry program with the British registered traveler program. APIS Pre-Departure certified vendor list. CBP has updated its list of carriers or vendors that have completed testing to process interactive Advance Passenger Information System Pre-Departure data and that have agreed to have their company included on the Certified Vendor List. This list will be periodically updated as additional carriers or vendors are added.
