2. FMC Commissioner Nominated for Chairmanship is Leaving FMC

3. FMCSA Updates List of Carriers Eligible to Participate in Cross-Border Pilot
The Federal Motor Carrier Safety Administration has posted a notice to its Web site providing an updated list of Mexican-domiciled and U.S.-domiciled motor carriers that have been granted authority to participate in the U.S.-Mexico cross-border pilot program. 5. Energy to Hold Regional Workshops on Transmission Congestion Data
The Energy Department has issued a press release announcing that it will hold six regional technical workshops across the country, to seek input on available transmission congestion data to be considered during preparation of the 2009 National Transmission Congestion Study. 7. WTO Revised Blueprint on Agricultural Trade Subsidies; USTR Responds
The World trade Organization has issued two revised papers including what could become the formulas for cutting tariffs and trade-distorting agricultural subsidies in a final deal were issued on May 19, 2008. The U.S. Trade Representative has issued a press release stating that the U.S. will be studying the revised texts in the days ahead. 8. Deadline for Q&V Questionnaire in China AD/CV Salts Case Extended
The ITA has announced that the deadline for submission of quantity and value questionnaire responses for its initiation of the ITA antidumping investigation to determine whether citric acid and certain citrate salts from China are being sold in the U.S. at less than fair value has been extended to 5:00 pm on June 12, 2008. 9. CBP Miami to Hold Seminar on Import Safety for Food Products
U.S. Customs and Border Protection's Port of Miami issued an Information Bulletin informing the trade that CBP and FDA will conduct a joint seminar that will cover topics relating to import safety for food products and the best practices for importations of food products on June 6, 2008. 10. Tennessee Professor, Company Charged with Arms Export Violations
The Justice Department reports that Reece Roth, a Professor Emeritus at the University of Tennessee, and Atmospheric Glow Technologies Inc., a Knoxville-based technology company, were charged with conspiring to defraud the U.S. Air Force and disclose restricted U.S. military data about Unmanned Aerial Vehicles, or "drones," to foreign nationals without first obtaining the required U.S. government license or approval. 11. OFAC Designates Three Entities under Belarus EO
The Office of Foreign Assets Control is publishing the names of three newly-designated Belarus entities whose property and interests in property are blocked pursuant to Executive Order 13405 of June 16, 2006, Blocking Property of Certain Persons Undermining Democratic Processes or Institutions in Belarus.
