1. CBP Posts Change Record ACE ABI CATAIR, Updated Chapters

(The Change Record summarizes the changes made to various chapters and other documents contained in the ACE ABI CATAIR.)

The chapters listed as amended in the Change Record as of May 7, 2008 are ACS to ACE Transition Topics,Entry Summary Status Notification,Importer/Bond Query,andImporter/Consignee Create/Update.

All four chapters were amended to include a Table of Contents section and a Table of Changes section. The ACS to ACE Transition Topics chapter was amended to modify references to the Cargo Release CATAIR chapter.

In the Entry Summary Status Notification chapter, there is a revision to Record E1 (Disposition Type Code) and associated explanatory notes.

2. Updated "ACE on the Road" Event Schedule

CBP has posted an updated version of its "ACE on the Road" event schedule, which includes the following:

ACE Seminar - May 20, 2008 in Laredo, TX - topics for this seminar include the current status of ACE, future releases of ACE, and ACE reports (live demo). Those interested in attending this seminar are required to register by May 15, 2008. A seminar flyerand registration form were also posted.

3. Other CBP Postings and Messages

Commissioner Basham on supply chain security. CBP Commissioner Basham recently spoke about supply chain security at the 17th annual Cargo Network Services Partnership Conference. Basham also praised the International Air Transport Association (IATA) e-Freight initiative which aims to increase automation within the industry. CBP Michigan on Mother's Day and flowers.
